BENEFICE RETREAT. Thursday 11 and Friday 1 September, Brownshill Monastery.
'We Stand on Holy Ground: Encountering God in Place'
A Retreat Exploring the Sacredness of Place'
Join us for a reflective retreat at Brownshill Monastery, where we’ll explore how places become holy through encounters with God. Drawing on Scripture, Celtic tradition and contemporary writers, we’ll reflect on what it means to be rooted, uprooted, unrooted and rerooted in our lives and in our faith. Through guided reflections, quiet activities, walking prayer and shared worship, we will notice the sacred in the ordinary and rediscover the presence of God in the places of our lives. Come and stand on holy ground. Please use the sign-up sheet at the back of church to register your interest.
SUMMER FETE, Saturday 9 August in aid of church funds – We are continuing to appeal for items and help for the Church Summer Fete. If you are willing to help on the day, please speak to Stephen Jarvis or Cheryl Ritter. In the meantime, this week we are appealing for offers of cakes, there is a sign-up sheet at the back of church, to use today, and for any plants that we can sell on our plant stall. Please bring your plants to church next Friday afternoon, or Saturday morning.
