Donations are welcome for MARAH and the FOOD BANK. There is a collection point at the back of church..
MARAH APPEAL – Christmas is fast approaching! We are asking for large boxes of biscuits and chocolates (such as Celebrations or Quality Street). They are often on special offer at this time of year. If you can donate any of these, we would be very grateful. Also, would anyone like to bake us a Christmas cake? It can be any size with icing, please, but not necessarily decorated, but strictly NO alcohol. Just let me know if you can help. Thank you! Jackie Natt.
ARCHDEACON HILARY DAWSON – Archdeacon Hilary’s leaving service is at Gloucester Cathedral, Sunday 23 November at 3.00 p.m. Join us as we say thank you and farewell to her.
INTERCESSORS MEETING – We will hold a meeting for intercessors and those who may be interested in becoming intercessors on Monday, 18 November at 9.30 a.m. It's a lovely opportunity to come together for fellowship, encouragement and prayer. If you feel drawn to intercession or would simply like to learn more, please do come along – you’d be most welcome.
STROUD WOMEN'S REFUGE – Once again, Minchinhampton church members have shown great generosity toward this vital and sadly much-needed charity. This year’s wish list includes children’s toiletries (bath gel, shampoo, flannels, toothpaste, toothbrushes) and mums’ essentials (dental and sanitary products, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner). A collection box will be in the Porch Room from Monday, 10th November to Thursday, 4th December. For queries or collections, please contact June Sidwell – 01453 873785. Thank you for your support.
ROSE WINDOW – Work on restoring the Rose Window will begin this week. Scaffolding has been installed in the Lady Chapel, with deglazing on Monday 17 November. The Lady Chapel will now be closed for the duration of the restoration, with Services and groups relocating to other suitable spaces within the church or Porch Room.
FRIDAY LUNCH CLUB – The next Friday lunch is on 21 November. All are welcome for a two-course lunch. We are accepting donations on the day for both the church and Masasi. There are signup sheets at the back of the church to assist with catering, and those who have dietary requirements. Further details, Linda, or Stephen Jarvis 884545.
HELP NEEDED – We are looking for some homemade cakes to be provided for refreshments being served throughout the day at our annual Christmas Craft Fayre. If you can help provide a homemade (only) cake – ingredients named, please drop off in the Porch Room on Friday 28 November. Thank you
CRAFT FAIR, 29 November 2025 – We need volunteers to take ticket money at the Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., working in pairs for an hour or two. We also need help with clearing up at 3:30 p.m. If you can assist, please contact Stephen Jarvis at 01453 884545. Thank you.
CHURCH CHRISTMAS CARD 'TREE' – From Sunday, 7 December, share Christmas joy by writing a festive message to hang on the church tree instead of sending individual cards (which often linger in pigeonholes!). You’re also invited to donate to one of Holy Trinity’s Christmas charities (yet to be decided) or a charity of your choice. This spreads warmth, fosters togetherness, and reduces paper use. Britons send enough Christmas cards each year to circle the globe 500 times!
