News from The Library

Time for a book hunt

Many of the books from the children’s library are missing so the library trustees are offering an amnesty during January 2020 on children’s books which are returned late. Please could all parents and children look on shelves and in cupboards at home for any library books that they have forgotten to return. However long ago they were borrowed, no fine will be incurred.

Baby Bounce
If you enjoy reading and singing to young children, please read on.  Until about 3 years’ ago the library ran a weekly Baby Bounce session for one to three year olds.  We would like to start this up again.  If anyone would be willing to spend an hour or so in the library once a week reading stories and perhaps singing songs and nursery rhymes we would love to hear from you.  We have the necessary equipment, and the time is negotiable.  If you’re interested, please contact Jenny on 01453 887419 or This email address is being protected from spambots. New Stock
In 2019 we have bought 77 new general adult fiction books, 31 new crime novels, and 444 books and 60 spoken word CDs for the children, to say nothing of the many donations we have received.

Hopefully there’s something for everyone so do come in to browse and borrow.
