Traidcraft - November 2017

Our Traidcraft stall is held on the 4th Sunday of each month in the porch room after the 10am service. This will continue to be held during the alterations and reordering of the church.

In November we shall be holding our pre Christmas Fair on Thursday November 16th in the porch rooms from 10.30am – 3.30pm .

There will be Christmas cards, gifts, greetings cards as well as all the usual groceries. There will also be a raffle and a tombola. Tea, coffee and cakes and also soup and rolls for lunch will be available. Come along and buy your Christmas goodies and help us to help others.

Sugar is such an important product . In our grocery range, Traidcraft has bagged sugar, sugar in biscuits, jam and sweets.

Traidcraft started to buy sugar from Mauritius back in the 1980s. They helped a local, social enterprise which was employing disabled workers in a sugar packing factory to improve their conditions and wages to meet Traidcraft standards.

Traidcraft still continues to sell bagged sugar from Mauritius and they are proud that they were able to be pioneers in bringing Fairtrade sugar into the UK. Over the years , Traidcraft has sourced sugar from other places including Malawi, but Mauritius continues to be their main suppliers.

Look out for the Traidcraft logo on everything you buy and help us to look after the earth together.

Do come along and support our Traidcraft Christmas Fair !! (see the full page ad in this magazine).
