Box W.I. - April 2016

The Dementia Friends Initiative Talk by Jim MacLeod was a great success. It was very cleverly done with lots of audience participation. We played Dementia Bingo, which had us all a bit apprehensive about us showing early signs of dementia!

As I have been late in submitting this report due to my involvement in the Box Panto I am able to tell you about our March meeting. Denise Gibbons came to speak on the MAGIC OF INSECTS. It was an absolutely fascinating talk with wonderful colourful slides. It made you want to get a magnifying glass and start looking for those amazing creatures in your locality.

Our next meeting on 12th April is a talk by Janice Cole on the ACWW – Association of Country Women of the World. It is a very worthwhile charity and the money raised from our competitions each month goes towards it. The competition this month is any item beginning with the letter D.

Meetings at Box Village Hall, 2nd Tuesday of each month, 10am business, coffee at 10.30am followed by a speaker. Visitors warmly welcomed at 10.30am - £3 including coffee.
