The hymns, motet and organ music combine the themes of the readings for the day (Proper 22,
Year B), stewardship and harvest festival, with a concentration on stewardship (and creation) in the morning and harvest in the afternoon. But there is overlap between all three. The communion hymn in the morning has a local association as Albert Bayly's words were first published in the Rodborough Hymnal of 1964.
