Box W.I. - September 2017
At our July meeting we were pleased to welcome eight visitors to our meeting who had been enticed by the prospect of our speaker that month.
We all had the pleasure of listening to a talk by Dr Anne Marie Marlow, well known to many of us, who spoke about Acupuncture and her interest in and eventual practise of this therapy.
Her presentation told us about the principles of acupuncture, how it assists in the healing process, how she herself became interested in this form of treatment and her subsequent training in this field. All of our members and visitors were very engaged and interested in her talk and there were many questions from people wanting to know more.
As is customary, we don’t meet in August but we return to our regular monthly meeting on Tuesday 12th September, when our member Shani Wills will lead us in a craft session.
Box WI meet at Box Village Hall on the 2nd Tuesday of each month – 10.00am for business, coffee at 10.30am followed by a speaker. Visitors are warmly welcomed at 10.30am - £3 including coffee.
