Box W.I. - June 2017

At our April meeting we had a talk by John Crowther about his work at the Help a Hedgehog Hospital in Brimscombe. It was extremely interesting and informative and made you want to make a home for a family of hedgehogs in your own garden! He brought along a small hedgehog which obligingly uncurled itself so we could have a proper look at him – he was lovely!

We are planning a Pudding Tasting Evening on July 14th in Box Village Hall. It goes without saying that this is a very popular event. Tickets will be available soon from WI members at £7.50 including a glass of Prosecco.

Five members from Box went to Commons Edge Group meeting at Woodchester on May3rd. We were very well entertained by the Stroud Ukulele Players, who were great fun and got us all singing along with them!

At our meeting on 13th June we will have the chance to “Needle Felt a Bee”! Instruction will be given by Steffi Stern and we are looking forward to learning another craft technique.

Meetings at Box Village Hall are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 10am business, coffee at 10.30am followed by a speaker. Visitors are warmly welcomed at 10.30am - £3 including coffee.
